Application to demolish Durham kiln refused - even though it's already flattened

Well, this is a bit of a head-scratcher for us here in Durham! It seems a planning application to demolish a local kiln has been refused, even though the structure has, rather ironically, already been taken down. We'll be keeping an eye on what this means for the site.
